eCo-FEV cooperates with other two FP7 projects: Mobility 2.0 and Mobincity. The three projects have one technical objective in common: design an in vehicle IT platform that collects all the FEV-relevant information. Within the EC-requested “clustering activities”, the projects’ members work towards alignment and harmonisation for system concept and definitions, interoperability and standardisation. During the eCo-FEV project, two workshops are planned at the test sites in France and Italy. eCo-FEV will possibly realise them as joint activities with the Mobility 2.0 and Mobincity projects.
The main goal of Mobility 2.0 is to develop a multi-modal urban guidance application implemented for smart-phone platforms to satisfy the needs of FEV users. For a more reliable and energy efficient utilization of FEVs the project takes an integrated approach. The EC-funded project started in September 2012 and proceeds until February 2015.
Similar to eCo-FEV, Mobincity combines the information provided by several infrastructures to optimize the trip planning, routing and charging of FEVs. Its main goal is to design an ICT-based integrated system that interacts between driver, vehicle and related infrastructures. The EC-funded project started in July 2012 and proceeds until June 2015.
